sundark dot com is the online web home of Rosy Davis, a student and writer living in Seattle, and her dog Yuuki.

about us

Rosy is a twenty-five-year-old human suffering from an acute fascination with marine life. She has a B.A. in Japanese from Stanford University, which she uses approximately never, though she is a big fan of Japanese novels, especially when she gets to cheat and read them in translation. She's played the cello for fifteen years and the bass guitar for one, and she's not very good at either. She used to work for HighWire Press, but she left at the start of 2007 to pursue other interests; she's currently finishing up a collection of short stories about the year she spent living in Japan, and she's just started her first term in the audio production program at the Art Institute of Seattle. She enjoys hockey, music, and taking blurry photographs with a camera she once dropped off a second-story balcony.

Yuuki is a three-year-old lab with doggie ADHD and a bizarre penchant for being used as a footrest. Her favorite hobbies are chewing on things, sleeping, swimming, playing tug, and making Rosy fetch. She likes to help out in the kitchen and with opening the mail, but her special talent is with yardwork. She also enjoys organizing her toys by putting them all under the bookshelves, and she loves visitors, especially ones who sit on the couch and let her beat them about the face with her tail. She earns her keep by distributing only mildly conditional love and acting as the world's most accurate alarm clock.
